Crystal Palace, Leeds United's close 2025-26 Premier League rivals, have agreed a deal in principle to appoint Lens boss Pierre Sage as their new head coach after Oliver Glasner's departure.

Sky Sports reports that the 47-year-old Frenchman is set to sign a contract running to summer 2029, with an option for a further year.

Austrian coach Glasner led Palace to Europa Conference League glory in his second full season. He confirmed in January that he would leave at the end of the campaign.

Despite European success, Palace finished 15th in the Premier League, two points and one place behind newly-promoted Leeds.

The appointment would come ahead of the South London club's 14th successive season in the top flight.
