Leeds United host Arsenal at Elland Road on Saturday, three pm, with several key returns confirmed and one youngster still sidelined.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Declan Rice and Mikel Merino are available again after suspension in midweek. Kai Havertz, back from knee surgery after August’s Manchester United injury, started Wednesday’s Champions League tie and played the first half as planned, with Riccardo Calafiori also restricted to the opening 45 minutes. Arsenal’s Max Dowman remains out with ankle ligament damage, while Leeds midfielder Anton Stach returned and logged 85 minutes at Everton.
This is the sides’ second meeting five months after August’s 5-0 at the Emirates. The reverse left Leeds on one point from two, and they meet again at Elland Road.
Arsenal remain four points clear despite Sunday’s 3-2 home defeat to Manchester United. They were missing players for that fixture and had further absentees for Wednesday’s European match against Kazakhstan club Kairat Almaty.
Leeds have suffered just one defeat in 10 to sit fifth-bottom, six points clear of the drop after 23 games. They drew 1-1 at Everton on Monday despite three key injuries.
