Daniel Farke says Tarik Muharemovic has huge upside after a standout debut in Leeds United’s 1-0 pre-season win over Sunderland in New Jersey.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the 23-year-old, a £34 million signing from Sassuolo earlier this month, made his first appearance and started in a back three with Joe Rodon and Sebastiaan Bornauw, impressing until a late substitution.

Farke accepted it was a demanding first step, with the Bosnian adapting to English football, new teammates and a different intensity after roughly a year at top level. He highlighted the defender’s calmness, body language, reading of the game and frequent interceptions, describing it as a class display and suggesting the sky is the limit.

Fellow summer arrival Harry Wilson also started, his first under Farke after a half-time introduction in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Wrexham.

Farke said Wilson is a good player at this level with many Premier League appearances and an outstanding season of goals and assists behind him. With his experience in the UK, the head coach believes the winger will improve Leeds’ attack.
