A new supercomputer projection has altered Leeds United’s expected finish and points in the predicted final Premier League table.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side reached the March international break three points above the relegation zone, ahead of West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

Leeds could have opened a six-point cushion by beating Brentford on Saturday evening, but a goalless draw left the door ajar before two pivotal Sunday fixtures.

Tottenham hosted Nottingham Forest and lost 3-0, a result that lifted Forest above Spurs and to within one point of Leeds.

West Ham were beaten 2-0 at Aston Villa, leaving the Irons third-bottom, one behind Tottenham, three off Forest and four shy of Leeds.

With seven games remaining, the updated model now predicts Arsenal first on 87 points, up one, Manchester City second on 78, Manchester United third on 71, Aston Villa fourth on 65, up from sixth, Chelsea fifth on 61, down from fourth, and Liverpool sixth on 60, down from fifth.
