Leeds United close on £34m Tarik Muharemović as centre-back flies in for Elland Road medical

Leeds United are closing on a second summer signing as Tarik Muharemović flies into Leeds Bradford Airport this morning for a medical and to sign paperwork ahead of an Elland Road move.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, a £34m agreement was reached in Italy on Tuesday evening, with the club then moving to finalise terms with the 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup star.

The left sided centre-back has been lined up to replace Pascal Struijk, who departed for Brighton earlier this summer.

During his time with Sassuolo, Muharemović showed aerial strength, mobility and a presence in both penalty areas.

The move will be the most expensive deal of the 49ers Enterprises ownership era. Leeds have already added Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham.
