Leeds United complete Elland Road tribute to Marcelo Bielsa at Bielsa Place | OneFootball

Leeds United have completed a permanent tribute at Elland Road, with the final Legacy Stones now installed at Bielsa Place to honour supporters and Marcelo Bielsa.

A team spokesperson stated that “Bielsa Place honours the man who brought belief, passion, and top-flight football back to Leeds United” and that “this special area features a marble replica of the bucket, the very one he famously sat on while masterminding our return to the Premier League, as well as a stone silhouette capturing one of his most iconic images”.

A total of 1,777 stones have been set in the new section on the East Stand next to the reception area, with 673 supporter names also appearing.

Bielsa Place was named alongside Howard’s Way as two new Legacy Stones sections for supporters to purchase and etch their names into Elland Road.

Howard’s Way is currently expected to be installed from the end of July to the start of August. All Legacy Stones are now sold out online.
