Managing director Robbie Evans expressed disappointment but praised Eisenberg’s impact, adding that outstanding performers often attract outside interest. He said they first discussed leaving previous careers to help Leeds and believes the club is now on a strong trajectory.

Evans highlighted Eisenberg’s work on the stadium expansion, which he said would benefit the club, supporters and the community for generations, and offered warm wishes to his family.

Eisenberg called it a privilege to work at Leeds, said significant progress had been made towards establishing the club in the Premier League, and thanked staff, supporters and ownership for their support. He added he will always feel part of the Leeds United family.

He will officially leave his role in August.
