In latest Leeds United news, the Yorkshire club are reportedly considering a move for Everton star Beto in the summer transfer window.
The Whites clinched the Championship title with a 2-1 win at Plymouth Argyle on the final day of the season.
Leeds’ place in the Premier League was confirmed last month after Burnley beat Sheffield United at Turf Moor.
Daniel Farke’s side are now making preparations for the summer as they look to bolster their squad for the 2025-26 campaign.
According to Sky Sports, the West Yorkshire outfit are considering a surprise move for Beto.
It is said that they have a potential transfer budget worth more than £100 million to spend on new recruits this summer.
Leeds plan to sign a new goalkeeper, defender, central midfielder and a striker in the next window.
However, they would have to spend a significant fee to secure a deal for Beto.
Everton splashed over £20m to sign the 27-year-old in the summer of 2023.
He has been a key player for David Moyes’ side this campaign, as he has scored seven goals in 27 Premier League appearances.
Beto has two years left on his current contract, and it is unclear whether Moyes would be open to let him leave.
The Toffees have Dominic Calvert-Lewin but he will be without a contract next month.
The English footballer is a top-quality striker but he is very injury prone and so rarely available for selection.
Calvert-Lewin has been out with a hamstring injury since January, and it remains to be seen whether the club decide to renew his contract.
