Leeds United continue Shea Charles talks after bids rejected | OneFootball

Leeds United are pursuing Shea Charles and remain in talks with Southampton after two bids were rejected.

The 22-year-old has one year left on his contract at St Mary's and is also being monitored by Premier League clubs.

Leeds are also exploring a move for attacker Harry Wilson, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the month.

"There's no doubt we need to improve the squad," said chairman Paraag Marathe, speaking to Sky Sports News earlier this month.

"The one thing that's different from last season is that the bar has been raised. Last season, we were a newly-promoted side and had to bring in a lot of players, but now we do have a lot of quality players."

"Are we pursuing inbounds? Yes. And there'll probably be even more differentiated, potentially bigger players because the bar is higher. We'll also have to manage some outs."
