Leeds United’s prospective XI for next season could take shape if key targets land, with Harry Wilson arriving on a free after his Fulham exit and centre-back Tarik Muharemovic joining. Southampton remain firm on Shea Charles and free agent target Julian Brandt has moved elsewhere.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds have been assessing further attacking options, with one summer 2025 stretch target potentially back in the frame. The focus now is how Daniel Farke could set up if a couple more priorities are secured.

Leeds are close to agreeing a club-record £40m deal for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford, who is believed to be keen on a move to Elland Road. It has been quiet for a few days regarding the 23-year-old, but hope remains he could become the club’s most expensive player.

At the back, Joe Rodon featured heavily last season, with only Ethan Ampadu logging more Premier League minutes. Jaka Bijol had to wait for his chance but impressed in the central role, regularly bullying opposing strikers.

Muharemovic, 23, arrived from Sassuolo for £34m last month to replace promotion-winning partner Pascal Struijk, whom Rodon has already farewelled. The defender’s pre-season debut against Sunderland on Thursday night was hugely promising.

On the right, Jayden Bogle enjoyed a strong campaign back in the Premier League, his 32 starts bettered only by three teammates. James Justin could step in when greater defensive solidity is required.
