Leeds United festive TV schedule confirmed after push for earlier release | OneFootball

Leeds United's festive Premier League programme has been confirmed, with four TV selections across Boxing Day and early January. The schedule has arrived more than a month earlier than last year.

According to Leeds Live, Manchester United and the Football Supporters' Association were said to have pressed for an earlier decision.

Leeds visit Aston Villa on Boxing Day, 12.30pm kick-off at Villa Park, live on TNT Sports.

Daniel Farke's side then travel to newly promoted Hull City on Tuesday, 29 December at 7.30pm, live on Sky Sports.

They host Everton on New Year's Day, an 8pm Friday start on Sky Sports.

Manchester City follow at Elland Road on Wednesday, 6 January, with an 8.15pm kick-off on Sky Sports.

Controversy arose when only the 8pm Manchester United v Newcastle United fixture went ahead on Boxing Day last season. The Premier League later said expanded European competitions and a revised domestic calendar, including FA Cup changes, had reduced available weekends to 33 while the league still stages 380 matches, and it gave assurance that the following season would feature more Boxing Day games as the date fell on a Saturday.
