Manor Solomon is currently on loan with Leeds United for the season, and there will be a decision to be made on whether a permanent move is lodged
Leeds United are still undecided on whether or not to pursue a permanent deal for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Manor Solomon this summer.
According to LeedsLive, the Whites have yet to make a decision on any transfer for the winger at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Israel international Solomon joined on loan towards the end of the summer transfer window, and has made 26 appearances for the club as they eye promotion back to the Premier League at the second time of asking.
The 25-year-old has contributed to seven goals and seven assists in the Championship, with Daniel Farke’s side top of the table after 33 games, taking their position back at the summit after a last-gasp 2-1 win over Sunderland on Monday night.
Leeds are yet to make a concrete decision on whether to pursue a permanent deal for Solomon in the summer.
The club’s league status for next season is yet to be decided, but Monday’s 2-1 win over Sunderland has seen their chances of a top two finish increase, opening a 10 point gap to the Black Cats in fourth.
Solomon’s loan deal does not include an option to buy clause as part of the agreement, meaning he will return to his parent club at the end of the campaign regardless.
But an approach could be made to sign the winger in the summer, particularly given he struggled for game time under Ange Postecoglou last year.
It was previously reported by TEAMtalk that Leeds are planning to hold talks with Spurs over a summer deal, but it’s believed that this is not yet the case.
However, his recent form has impressed many and could lead to swaying the Yorkshire outfit that he’s someone to keep around going into next season.
Solomon has grown in importance to Leeds in recent weeks, with his upturn in form leading him to contribute four goals and four assists in the last eight league games.
His impressive form has also led to Wilfried Gnonto’s lack of recent starts, with his last league appearance in the first XI coming in December.
Solomon’s start to life at Leeds was far from ideal, as he struggled to put together form due to fitness issues.
But he has been firing on cylinders of late, and that could be convincing for Leeds to want to pursue a permanent deal.
It’s unclear what kind of fee it would take to win his signature in the summer, but Spurs should be open to a move as he’s not been a part of Postecoglou’s plans so far.
With promotion to the Premier League looking increasingly likely, his arrival could be a good boost to their attacking options for the top flight.
