Leeds United travel to Manchester United with three players ruled out and three more doubtful, and two of the absentees may not feature again in April, according to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk.

Daniel Farke delivered the bleak update before Monday’s Old Trafford meeting, after injuries piled up in Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final win at West Ham United.

Anton Stach left that tie after Max Kilman’s penalty-area challenge and later posted a photo of a badly swollen ankle. Joe Rodon turned an ankle attacking a set piece and went off. Noah Okafor was withdrawn after feeling his hamstrings following a sprint.

Daniel James and Gabriel Gudmundsson missed the cup game, while Jaka Bijol played but took a knock.

Stach, Rodon and James will miss Monday, with ankle, ankle and adductor problems respectively. Bijol has not trained this week, Okafor has been out of team sessions with back trouble, and Gudmundsson has light groin issues. All three are doubts, and none would have played had the match been staged tomorrow, though the extra time before Monday could help.

Farke said Stach and Rodon have ankle ligament damage and might not return this month. He described April involvement as unrealistic, suggesting any appearance would be a bonus and May looks likelier.

Leeds’ April schedule also includes Bournemouth away, a home meeting with Wolves and an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley.
