The 18-year-old has emerged as the brightest talent in Scottish football since establishing himself as a regular in the first-team last season, and he has kicked on in the current campaign.

Miller has found the net twice and registered four assists in 12 Scottish Premiership games, whilst he has also been handed the captain’s armband on occasion, showing how highly regarded he is at the club.

Given his ability, and potential to get better, most connected to Motherwell accept that Miller will take the next step in his career at some point.

And, it’s perhaps no surprise that he is attracting plenty of interest, with journalist Graeme Bailey revealing that Leeds are among those weighing up a move for the player.

The reporter adds that Celtic, Rangers, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Newcastle and Brighton are just some of the clubs who have also had representatives scouting the teenager this season.

Furthermore, there is interest from overseas, with Atalanta and Bologna thought to be keen, with moving to Italy having proven to be a successful route for young Scottish players such as Aaron Hickey and Lewis Ferguson in the past.

The update states that Motherwell are hoping for a fee in the region of £5m for their star man, which would make Miller their record sale.

Plus, even if they do agree to a deal in January, they will try to ensure that Miller is loaned back for the remainder of the season.

Lennon Miller would be a real coup for Leeds United

You only have to see the number of clubs listed to recognise that Miller would be a huge coup for Leeds if they can convince the player to move to Elland Road.

Those who have seen Miller play know that he has all the tools to reach the top, with the Scotland youth international boasting excellent technical ability, and he is also intelligent in the spaces he picks up, and you often forget just how young he is.

You would expect him to continue to develop over the next few years, so these clubs clearly feel Miller could become a player that can flourish in the Premier League.

Leeds United move could appeal to Lennon Miller

From Leeds’ perspective, Miller would be brought in with the future in mind, and the club have aggressively targeted younger players in recent years, so he would fit that strategy.

Perhaps the big advantage the Whites would have over any rivals is that they may offer Miller a quicker route to the first-team.

Pascal Struijk was brought in by Leeds as a youngster, and he is now a key figure in the team, with Mateo Joseph given a more prominent role this season as well. Previously, Crysencio Summerville was the obvious success story, as he was given a chance and has developed into a top player, who was signed for £25m by West Ham this summer.
