Leeds United ‘make’ Marseille’s Igor Paixão a priority, €50m valuation complicates deal

Leeds United are reported to have shortlisted Marseille forward Igor Paixão, although a wide price gap is clouding any potential deal.

Foot Mercato reports that the Brazilian is third on the club’s attacking targets and that negotiations face an impasse over fees.

Marseille, dealing with cash flow issues, are seeking €50m, while Leeds value him at €30m to €35m.

Paixão joined Marseille from Feyenoord for €30m last summer and is under contract until 2030.

He made 42 appearances across all competitions in his first season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists.
