Daniel Farke says he and the Leeds United board are holding talks about immediate and mid-term plans after securing safety.

He said the goals set when he signed a four-year contract in 2023 had been met, meaning that project is ending and a new one must be mapped out. He added he would only lead it if he remained in charge of sporting decisions, and insisted progress must be ambitious and developmental.

Ahead of the Premier League finale at West Ham United this week, Farke said talks are ongoing behind the scenes. He is not wedded to a fixed three-year vision, pointing to the four-year deal and noting progress has arrived perhaps a year earlier than expected.

He said the club will speak publicly only once plans are settled and actions have begun. He expressed gratitude for being trusted with a major role and described discussions as open, honest and carried out in a trustful atmosphere.

For now, the focus is on agreeing the right plan and backing ideas with action, with work and conversations continuing.
