Leeds United resume their survival push at Bournemouth tonight, four days before facing Chelsea at Wembley. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the focus remains on the league at this stage, so a full-strength selection is expected. This is the predicted XI.
The trip was moved to midweek after Leeds reached the FA Cup semi-finals, winning 4-2 on penalties at West Ham after extra time. Kick-off is 8pm at the Vitality Stadium, with the semi-final set for Sunday at 3pm.
Farke said on Tuesday that more points are probably needed to make certain of safety, which points to continuity. Karl Darlow is tipped to keep goal after an impressive run.
Jayden Bogle is viewed as first-choice right-back. James Justin, excellent against Wolves and believed to have only suffered cramp late on, is backed to continue at centre-back, with Jaka Bijol also in contention if Joe Rodon, only just back from an ankle issue, is eased in.
Pascal Struijk remains a mainstay, while Gabi Gudmundsson, a £10m summer arrival, has nailed down left-back. Dan James is back in the mix. Leeds sit 15th, eight points clear with five games left, and still have home games with Burnley and Brighton plus away trips to Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.
