Leeds United return to Premier League action at Villa Park on Saturday, refocusing on survival after beating Birmingham City to reach the FA Cup fifth round and a tie with Norwich City.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke confirmed on Thursday that Noah Okafor will miss two to four weeks with a hamstring injury sustained at Birmingham, while Anton Stach, Pascal Struijk and Daniel James are back in training and there are no new fitness issues.
Those updates leave selection calls to make, with a predicted XI tipping Karl Darlow to keep goal despite Lucas Perri impressing in the cup at St Andrew’s. Darlow has scarcely put a foot wrong since his error against Arsenal.
Joe Rodon is expected on the right of a back three after only featuring in extra-time at Birmingham, so he should be relatively fresh.
Jaka Bijol is backed to resume in the centre after injury, having shone there before his lay-off, and he faces a stern test whether Ollie Watkins or Tammy Abraham leads Villa’s line.
Struijk is set to come straight back in to complete the trio. Jayden Bogle is in line to revert to right wing-back after a stint on the right wing against Chelsea and an 82nd-minute introduction at Birmingham.
