Leeds United return on Sunday with an FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham, a 4.30pm kick-off at the London Stadium. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, a strong predicted XI features a key defensive return.
It is their first outing after a two-week March international break that saw a dozen Leeds players on senior duty. Before the pause they drew 0-0 at home to Brentford, Daniel Farke’s only change enforced as suspended left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson made way for Jayden Bogle.
Gudmundsson is available again after a one-game ban. Farke has rotated in every round so far, but with a semi-final in sight, selection could be tighter. In goal, Lucas Perri is tipped to continue after playing the fourth and fifth rounds and starring in the Birmingham shoot-out.
At right wing-back, Bogle feels the natural pick. Justin is also an option, while Willy Gnonto and Dan James have featured as wing-backs in earlier rounds, but Justin may instead be needed centrally.
In a back three, Justin might line up with Jaka Bijol, who has played every minute so far. Joe Rodon could come in, though he has yet to start in this competition. The other spot may go to Pascal Struijk ahead of Sebastiaan Bornauw, who started against Norwich, went off at half-time, and has been unused twice since.
On the left, Gudmundsson is fancied to start after beginning the fourth and fifth rounds. Alternatives include Justin, Gnonto, James or Sam Byram, but the sense is that the first-choice left-back completes the back line.
