Leeds United host Brentford at Elland Road on Saturday in a pivotal Premier League fixture. A win would take Daniel Farke’s side six points clear of the relegation zone until at least Sunday afternoon, when West Ham go to Aston Villa.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Farke has Noah Okafor back in training all week after hamstring and hip issues, while Gabriel Gudmundsson is suspended following his controversial dismissal at Crystal Palace.
With no injury-related absences, Farke has a strong squad and some selection calls. The predicted line-up outlines how he might set up under the lights.
In goal, Karl Darlow has steadied the ship in recent weeks and produced a superb save from Jefferson Lerma at Palace, even if the rebound was ruled offside.
Joe Rodon, operating in a hybrid role, should have more licence to step into right-back areas after being pinned back for long spells in that game. His recovery pace could be vital against a counter-attacking Brentford.
Jaka Bijol recovered well after a shaky first half on his return to the XI and will need to be at his physical best against 19-goal Igor Thiago.
Pascal Struijk also defended stoutly following an early wobble. He is yet to score this season, unlike Rodon and Bijol, and Saturday would be a good time to change that.
At right wing-back, Jayden Bogle defended well off the bench and is expected to return to the starting XI. He should have greater scope to influence the final third.
