According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds United’s 2025/26 player ratings reflect a more than solid Premier League return, with recruitment paying off and a three-way tie at the top settled by decimals. This season’s overall leader also swept the club awards.

Ratings remain subjective yet compelling, and the averages illustrate who most consistently stood out across the campaign. New signings bedded in quickly in a new country and the league’s toughest environment.

January loanee Facundo Buonanotte averaged four after a move that looked sensible but did not deliver. Only Daniel Farke, the player and a few at Thorp Arch can truly explain why, though Leeds ultimately did not need him to stay up. A couple of poor cameos included a dreadful outing against Birmingham.

The referees came in at five, ranging from Darren England’s nine out of 10 display against Chelsea to Jarred Gillett’s minus one at Spurs. Too often they failed to impress, and standards must rise, with VAR not achieving that.

Sam Byram featured twice in the league and twice in the FA Cup as a substitute, none long enough to rate. His lone mark was five from a Carabao Cup start.

Joel Piroe’s average was five point seven after limited opportunities and a rare one-goal season that will likely never happen again. Dan James endured injuries, playing 629 minutes with no goals or assists. Jack Harrison, used largely from the bench and sometimes deeper, could not shine and left for a January loan to Fiorentina.
