Bookmakers have priced up next season’s Premier League relegation market, taking a strong view on Leeds United’s prospects after a safe return.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side finished 14th in their comeback campaign, while fellow newcomers Sunderland took seventh and a Europa Conference League place.
Burnley, last season’s Championship runners-up, were the only promoted club to go straight back down, ending second bottom and dropping with Wolves and West Ham.
The trio make way for Championship winners Coventry City, runners-up Ipswich Town and play-off victors Hull City, with Arsenal entering as defending champions.
Early relegation prices put the elite at long odds to go down, for example Arsenal at 1000-1, Liverpool 750-1 and Manchester United 750-1.
Aston Villa are 100-1, Chelsea 80-1 and Tottenham Hotspur 40-1 in the same market, which now sets out perceived risk across the division, from stalwarts to the three newcomers.
