Leeds United have confirmed the loan signing of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton, handing Daniel Farke another selection call for the run-in.
He chose Chelsea over Elland Road in the summer but, according to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the 21-year-old pushed to join and wants to aid a survival bid between now and May.
The Argentinian adds creativity on the right or at No.10 and is a set-piece specialist who could increase supply for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Brenden Aaronson’s recent form intensifies competition for places, and the squad depth has improved for the second half of the season. A strongest XI and bench have been proposed.
In goal, Lucas Perri remains first choice despite recent errors that drew criticism from Farke.
Joe Rodon, ever-present before an ankle issue, is back fit and central again, while Jaka Bijol has settled into the back three with growing assurance each week.
Pascal Struijk is key to building from the back and has been consistently solid defensively. At right wing-back, Jayden Bogle edges James Justin for his stronger attacking output.
Captain Ethan Ampadu brings bite to midfield and has underlined his quality in recent weeks.
