Daniel Farke has dropped Lucas Perri and recalled Karl Darlow in Leeds United’s XI to face Fulham this afternoon, with Facundo Buonanotte among the substitutes.

According to Leeds Live, Farke had publicly criticised summer signing Perri for recent errors, notably the Manchester United equaliser and Newcastle United’s winner, and his benching suggests it is not injury related.

Buonanotte arrived on Thursday after his Chelsea loan was cut short, with Brighton sending him to Elland Road for the rest of the season. Despite limited minutes, training with Chelsea has kept him fit, so he makes the squad.

Jaka Bijol and Anton Stach miss out. Stach has an adductor strain, while Bijol has a hamstring issue that may take time to heal. Ilia Gruev starts with Ethan Ampadu in midfield and Brenden Aaronson could drop into the centre.

James Justin replaces Bijol on the right of a back three, with Joe Rodon central and Pascal Struijk at left centre. Jayden Bogle returns after three games out with a calf issue to start at right-back, and Gabriel Gudmundsson also starts.

Starting XI: Darlow, Bogle, Justin, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson, Gruev, Ampadu, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin, Okafor. Substitutes: Perri, Bornauw, Byram, Longstaff, Tanaka, Buonanotte, Gnonto, Piroe, Nmecha.
