Leeds United are set to explore a move for Max Aarons, with Coventry City also keen, a report claims.

Leeds are closing in on an £8.2m agreement for Nico Elvedi, who would replace Sebastiaan Bornauw. Further priorities include a back-up goalkeeper, left-back and striker competition, plus a versatile attacking midfielder.

The club have been tracking Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer, although it is unclear whether any approach will succeed, and there have been suggestions he would prefer to remain.

Leeds were linked with Bournemouth full-back Aarons earlier in the summer after his return to the Vitality following a difficult loan at Rangers. He first broke through at Norwich City under Daniel Farke, before choosing Bournemouth over Leeds in 2024.

Leeds are assessing versatile full-back options. The expectation is that Aarons will either stay with Bournemouth or leave on a permanent basis, with no loan in play.
