According to SportsBoom, Leeds United are among the clubs monitoring Ayase Ueda after the 27-year-old hit 25 goals in 31 Eredivisie games, with Feyenoord planning to open negotiations at £25.9m to £30.2m.

Daniel Farke secured Premier League survival in their first campaign back and strengthening the attack is now the priority. Leeds have also been linked with free agent Harry Wilson for the wide areas.

Feyenoord signed Ueda from Cercle Brugge for £6.9m in 2023. Having emerged from Santiago Gimenez’s shadow to become the club’s focal point, he is considered central to their UEFA Champions League squad and the Dutch side will not be rushed into a sale.

Everton and Brighton are tracking the forward too, with Everton currently seen as leading the race. The presence of Japan international Ao Tanaka at Elland Road is viewed as a potential advantage for Leeds.

Clinical and disciplined in the box, Ueda fits the profile of finisher Farke wants. Whether Leeds can meet Feyenoord’s valuation remains the key question as they plan for 2026-27. Ueda is also aiming to carry his club form into Japan’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign in North America.
