Leeds United have yet to unveil a summer signing, but an agreement is in place for free agent Harry Wilson after 10 goals and seven assists last season. Work continues on targets including Shea Charles and Julian Brandt. Chairman Paraag Marathe has acknowledged exits, and Pascal Struijk has already joined Brighton.
Freiburg lodged an enquiry for Willy Gnonto in May, The Athletic reported. A decision is pending for the winger, who has not played as much as he would like.
Karl Darlow has departed as a free agent, though talks with Leeds continue. A contract offer is on the table, and proposals are also said to have come from Manchester United and Everton. Illan Meslier has left at the end of his deal and has emerged as a surprise back-up option for Arsenal.
Sebastiaan Bornauw has been linked in Germany with FC Koln, who want defensive experience. It is unclear whether the Belgian wants to leave or whether Leeds would sanction a move.
Struijk’s move is understood to be worth £18m plus £2m in add-ons, with a sell-on clause included.
Isaac Schmidt has interest from FC Basel and Young Boys. After a loan at Werder Bremen, who did not trigger a £2.5m option, a permanent exit is expected.
Business is expected to accelerate once the World Cup ends, with Elland Road aiming to balance signings and sales.
