Leeds United and Adidas have unveiled the 2026/27 away kit, a retro yellow design with navy and white detailing. It will be worn with navy shorts and yellow socks.
The shirt revives the Yorkshire Rose crest used between 1984 and 1998, evoking Howard Wilkinson’s title winners. The old Adidas trefoil returns, placing Leeds among an elite group of European teams, and the club called the move a ‘historic first’ for the partnership.
For the first time, a long-sleeve version will be sold, a perk of Adidas’ elite tier that includes Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
The launch film, shot in the Yorkshire Dales and featuring current players, is narrated by Lucas Radebe. He praises the loyalty and passion of supporters, says the film reflects the club’s bond with Leeds and Yorkshire, and adds the kit should prove a fans’ favourite.
Leeds’ last yellow away shirt, released for 2024/25, broke records with more than 15,000 sold in the first 24 hours. The 1970s smiley badge and shade of yellow became synonymous with promotion and the open-top bus parade.
Leeds have the chance to debut it on their USA tour after the 2026 World Cup. They play Wrexham in Tampa on July 25, Liverpool in New Jersey on July 30 and Sunderland in Chicago on August 2.
An Elland Road friendly with RB Leipzig is expected on the weekend of August 8/9, before Manchester United in Dublin the following Wednesday. The Premier League season starts on the weekend of August 22/23.
The away kit is on sale online via the Leeds United shop and Adidas, and will reach club stores and selected JD stores.
