Leeds United are exploring moves for Harry Wilson and Julian Brandt, with both players set to become free agents at the end of the month.

According to Leeds Live, a surge of wagers on Friday prompted Bet365 to suspend betting on the potential transfer.

Brandt, an experienced attacking midfielder, is preparing to leave Borussia Dortmund this month. The Germany international has 43 caps and 82 Champions League appearances.

At 30, bringing Brandt to Elland Road would represent a slight shift from recent recruitment that has prioritised players entering their peak years. It would also be a statement addition given his European pedigree. Manager Daniel Farke has been seeking a versatile number 10 who can operate wide, after Facundo Buonanotte’s loan yielded only one FA Cup start.

Winning the race for Brandt will be challenging amid interest from Roma, Lazio and Galatasaray.

Leeds are holding renewal talks with goalkeeper Karl Darlow ahead of his contract expiry. SC Braga’s 23-year-old Czech keeper Lukas Hornicek is on the radar, though there is no formal interest at this stage.
