Leeds United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday 26 April, 3pm, after the Football Association confirmed the schedule.
The draw was made on Sunday but discussions between governing bodies and police delayed confirmation. The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust urged authorities to act, with more than 30,000 tickets expected for travelling fans planning transport and accommodation.
Manchester City play Southampton at Wembley the day before. Should Leeds reach the final, they would return on Saturday 16 May, when a home match with Brighton & Hove Albion is currently scheduled and would need a midweek switch.
That scenario has already affected fixtures, with the trip to Bournemouth moved to Wednesday 22 April because of the cup run. Leeds have played on a Sunday in each round this season.
This will be Leeds’ first FA Cup semi-final for 39 years and their first Wembley outing since the 2024 Championship play-off final defeat to Southampton. They beat Chelsea 3-1 at Elland Road in December under Enzo Maresca, then drew 2-2 at Stamford Bridge in February with new manager Liam Rosenior.
