Leeds United’s relegation prospects have shifted after Eddie Howe left Newcastle United, with bookmakers adjusting prices and making a notable Sunderland call.

David Ornstein reported on Thursday morning that the 48-year-old was set to depart, and Sky Sports later announced his exit. Howe had been in charge since November 2021.

The club have reportedly lined up 38-year-old Matthias Jaissle of Al Ahli as a potential successor.

Newcastle finished 12th last season, two points and two places above newly-promoted Leeds, who secured 14th on their Premier League return.

Here are the latest general relegation odds and the early predicted top six based on those prices.

1st Arsenal, relegation odds 1000-1. 2nd Liverpool, 750-1. 3rd Manchester United, 500-1.

4th Chelsea, 125-1. 5th Aston Villa, 66-1. 6th Tottenham Hotspur, 50-1.
