Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo admits that his best mate at Chelsea has left the club in the summer window.
Chelsea got busy over the summer and there was a massive focus on shifting some players whether they were being sold or loaned out. They needed to balance the books and also make some room in the squad for the new players that had come in.
The deadline day this summer was as dramatic as it often is, and there was a big story that developed with striker Nicolas Jackson and his future. He of course ended up joining Bayern Munich on loan in what was a bit of a toxic story in the end. But it seemed like Jackson going was the best move for all involved.
Unknown to most, it would have been Moises Caicedo who may have been the most upset by Jackson going, because he has revealed that Jackson was his closest pal within the Chelsea team.
Caicedo and Jackson celebrate
“It was Jackson, who has left the team,” Caicedo told Banco Guayaquil when asked to name his best friend at Chelsea.
“I was with him everywhere. I went to his house, he came to mine, we played PlayStation, I always beat him (laughs). I have a very good relationship with him.”
Estevao Willian has offered to play the number 10 role for Enzo Maresca should he need it, having been used to playing this position and we know he also enjoys playing there.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s plans to sign a new striker look to have changed after the latest report from a Blues insider came out earlier on this week.
