Lega Serie A has submitted a formal request to the FIGC to bring forward the opening of the transfer window for the 2025/26 season.
The idea, born following FIFA guidelines, includes an extraordinary period from 1 to 10 June 2025, a month before the official start of negotiations.
The proposal responds above all to the needs of Inter and Juventus, the two Italian teams that will participate in the Club World Cup in the United States, scheduled from 15 June to 13 July 2025.
A possible early opening would allow new players to be registered and used in the competition.
Now, as Sky Sport reports, the next step will be the start of a discussion table with the various competent bodies, before the Federal Council issues a final decision.
