La Liga outfit Leganés on Sunday reached a goalscoring mark not managed by the club for five years.
This came by way of their dominant downing of Celta Vigo.
After being brought firmly back down to earth by Atlético Madrid last weekend, Leganés, this afternoon, welcomed the aforementioned Celta to The Estadio Municipal de Butarque.
And, when all was said and done, Borja Jimenez’s troops secured a return to winning ways, in comprehensive fashion.
Owing to goals on the part of all of Diego García, Dark Brašanac and Sergio González – all inside the closing half hour – Leganés notched a 2nd victory in three, by three goals to nil.
And, as alluded to above, as much did not only prove significant when it comes to Los Pepineros’ position in the table.
In addition, Jimenez’s men equalled a club benchmark not hit since all the way back in May of 2019.
As per statisticians Opta:
‘CD Leganés have won a LaLiga game by 3+ goals, 3-0 against Celta de Vigo, for the first time since May 2019 against Sevilla.’
