Beppe Bergomi considers Napoli and Juventus the frontrunners for the Serie A title ahead of last season’s runners-up Inter Milan.
Speaking to Radio CRC via FCInterNews, Bergomi offered his Scudetto predictions for the 2025/26 season.
Inter Milan failed to defend their title last term as Napoli beat them to the punch in one of the most dramatic races in recent memory.
Indeed, Antonio Conte returned to haunt his former club, inspiring the Partenopei to their fourth Scudetto.
Furthermore, Inter parted ways with long-serving coach Simone Inzaghi shortly after the end of last season.
Cristian Chivu has arrived to fill the void, but his managerial tenure has been off to a rather unenviable start.
In addition to Inter’s early 2025 FIFA Club World Cup exit, they’ve stuttered at the beginning of the new Serie A campaign.
After a 5-0 rout of Torino on the opening weekend, the Nerazzurri slumped to a 2-1 home loss to Udinese.
Therefore, they will be under pressure in the upcoming Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus.

Bergomi doesn’t see Inter as the top title candidates. Indeed, he believes Napoli and Juventus have the upper hand.
“Juventus and Napoli start ahead in the Scudetto race. Roma, Inter, and Milan may be slightly behind,” Bergomi said.
“Of course, predictions are made to be proven wrong, but this is how I see the starting grid this year.”
Meanwhile, Bergomi remains skeptical about the Italians’ chances in the Champions League.
“Inter have played two Champions League finals in three years, but they also followed a certain path to get there,” he added.
“I couldn’t say what the journey of Italian teams in Europe will look like.
“We could always get some surprises.
“However, if I have to be rational, European clubs still have something more compared to Italian ones.”
