Legendary Italian football manager Fabio Capello was bluntly honest while analyzing what is going wrong for Inter Milan in Serie A since the start of the season.

The Nerazzurri registered two convincing wins at home against Lecce and Atalanta. However, they settled for disappointing away draws in Genoa and Monza, while suffering a defeat at the hands of AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.

Hence, the Nerazzurri currently sit sixth in the Serie A table with eight points, three adrift from shock leaders Torino.

The Italian champions’ next contest is an away fixture against Udinese. The Zebrette were also enjoying a brilliant start to the campaign, at least prior to their heavy loss against Roma last weekend.

Therefore, Capello warns Inter about their upcoming trip to Udine.

“It’s not going to be an easy match because Inter will find a team defeated in Rome that will want to bounce back,” said the former Real Madrid, Juventus and AC Milan in his column for La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews.

“The same goes for Inter after the defeat in the derby. I think the Nerazzurri need to find themselves again on a mental level.”

Fabio Capello Urges Inter Milan Players To Be More Humble On The Pitch

The 78-year-old insists Inter must adopt a more humble approach. He believes the club’s leaders have been complacent thus far in Serie A.

“Inter need to rediscover the humility and desire they had. For example, the one they showed in England against Manchester City in the Champions League.

“You could only see it in the first 25 minutes against Milan. Inter could be their own worst enemies.

“This is something that can happen after winning a league title. The most important thing is to rediscover the humility to start from scratch.

“The players who count, and I’m referring to the leaders, at least up until now have been complacent in Serie A.”

Moreover, Capello feels that Simone Inzaghi hasn’t helped his team’s case with his non-stoping rotation policy.

“Inzaghi’s turnover is exaggerated when he does it in such a massive way, I think it creates a bit of confusion in the players’ heads.

“I agree, Inter have a strong squad with two players for every role and the coach must make it clear that they are all important. But there’s time for rotation.

“So, first maybe get back on the main road, then make the appropriate detours.”
