Their season is entirely in their hands and if they do not slip up, the Foxes will be playing Premier League football once again next season.

With that in mind, here is the latest news regarding Leicester as we look toward the end of the Championship campaign.

Wilfred Ndidi attracts interest from multiple clubs

Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi is one man attracting interest.

According to HITC, five top flight clubs are interested in making him a part of their team next year. The Nigerian midfielder has been injured at points this term but impressed when fit.

Clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Ndidi, as well as Aston Villa, Brighton and Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer so will be available on a free transfer once the current campaign concludes.

Ndidi's huge estimated £75,000 wages could be a stumbling block for some of the club's interested and may make it hard for Leicester to agree new terms.

The midfielder could be a shrewd addition for the teams chasing him, who would be getting an experienced Premier League player cheaply.

Barcelona are also reportedly keen, which could be an exciting option if Ndidi decides on a move to Europe.

The threat of a potential points deduction is hanging over Leicester as we approach the end of the season.

The Foxes have been accused of breaking profitability and sustainability rules and finance expert Kieran Maguire has predicted they could be hit with a points deduction

“We don’t have the full details in terms of what’s allowable for the academy and women’s team and so on,” Kieran Maguire said, via Football Insider. “But based on my figures and calculations, I think that Leicester are in the region of £25 to £30 million over the PSR limit.

“What that would mean in terms of a points deduction should they return to the Premier League is unknown. Leicester will argue that because they’re not presently in the Premier League, they shouldn’t be subject to a deduction.

“I think from a legal point of view, it will be a fascinating commission hearing, assuming that it takes place.“

There is certainly precedent as Everton and Nottingham Forest have been handed points deductions by the Premier League this season.

Arsenal and Spurs target Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for summer move

Another player who could leave the club this summer is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The midfielder has come into his own this season, establishing himself as a key player for the Foxes in their march towards Premier League promotion.

According to TalkSport, Tottenham have joined Arsenal in the race to sign the Englishman. He has been rated at £45 million, so it will take a very hefty fee to tempt him away from the club.

He has added 12 goals and 13 assists to his game so far this season. Dewsbury-Hall is crucial to Leicester this year, having played 39 league matches in the heart of midfield as they remain top of the league table with just a few days to go.

However, the chance to play for a team that could be in the Champions League next will be too much for the midfielder to turn down and Leicester will have a serious decision to make if sizable offers come in.
