Leicester City beat Ipswich Town 3-1 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday to rise from 13th to eighth in the Championship.
In the eighth minute, Bobby Decordova-Reid rifled in from range to set the tone, and Abdul Fatawu doubled the lead with a stunning strike from distance (43.).
After the restart, Jordan Ayew finished Ricardo Pereira's cut-back to make it three (52.). The Tractor Boys rallied and substitute Jens-Lys Cajuste pulled one back from close range (71.).
Ipswich had refreshed their midfield and attack moments earlier, introducing Ashley Young, Sam Szmodics and Cajuste (64.), which lifted their threat down both flanks.
Jakub Stolarczyk kept the Foxes in control with a strong save to deny Jack Clarke before the interval, while Leicester's back line cleared their lines under late pressure.
Seven minutes were indicated for second half stoppage time after treatment delays, and the Foxes saw the game out without alarm.
The Foxes registered 11 attempts, finding the target four times. The Tractor Boys had 57.7% possession and 13 attempts.
Ipswich drop from fourth to fifth in the table. Next, the Foxes visit Queens Park Rangers. The Tractor Boys host Sheffield Wednesday.
