Leicester City sign centre-back Ilari Kangasniemi on five-year deal from FC Inter Turku | OneFootball

Leicester City have completed the signing of centre-back Ilari Kangasniemi from FC Inter Turku for an undisclosed fee, agreeing a five-year contract.

The player said that he learned a lot playing in Italy, views the league as much tougher than the Finnish league, and thinks a couple of European games under his belt will be good preparation.

Kangasniemi previously spent time in the Inter Milan youth academy, did not make a senior appearance for the Serie A side, and returned to Finland last August.

The 19-year-old becomes Leicester’s 10th summer signing.

They have taken one point from a possible six at the start of their League One campaign and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Ipswich Town on Tuesday.
