Marti Cifuentes makes two changes to Leicester City’s XI to face Oxford, with Louis Page and Hamza Choudhury starting in midfield as Jordan James and Oliver Skipp drop out injured.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Page, 17, makes his first league start since August in a box-to-box role. Choudhury is preferred to Boubakary Soumare deeper after beginning at right-back in the midweek draw at Wrexham.

Ricardo Pereira also comes in after a substitute outing at the Racecourse Ground. That means Ben Nelson stays at left-back against his former loan club, with Luke Thomas among the replacements.

Caleb Okoli and Jannik Vestergaard line up at centre-back between Ricardo and Nelson. The attack is unchanged, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid behind Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu and Stephy Mavididi wide.

Wanya Marcal returns to the bench and young centre-back Kevon Gray is included for the first time. In all, nine of the 20 players are academy graduates.

City 4-3-3: Stolarczyk; Ricardo, Okoli, Vestergaard, Nelson; Choudhury, Page, De Cordova-Reid; Fatawu, Ayew, Mavididi. Subs: Begovic, Gray, Aluko, L Thomas, Soumare, Marcal, Monga, S Thomas, Daka.
