Leicester City have been told to finalise a permanent move for Jordan James after his impressive start since joining the club.

Leicester City extended their unbeaten run to seven games as they beat Swansea City 3-1 away from home on Saturday.

It was a positive display from Marti Cifuentes’ side, who took the lead through a brilliant Jordan James effort, before Adam Idah equalised from the spot.

However, the Foxes would pick up all three points after a stunner from Abdul Fatawu, and a Jannik Vestergaard header sealed the win to move the Midlands outfit up to third.

Jordan James continues to impress for Leicester City

Whilst it was a good team display from Leicester, James was once again a standout figure on the day.

The Welsh international joined the club on an initial loan from Rennes, and he has quickly shown his quality in midfield, with James a powerful player who can make a difference in the final third.

His goal yesterday made it two in five since his move, and he also registered an assist for Fatawu’s brilliant long-range shot.

With the 21-year-old also impressing with his all-round game, it’s fair to say that he has made an immediate impression among the Leicester supporters, who are urging the club to get a deal sorted for the ex-Birmingham City man as soon as possible...

Another fan made it clear how impressed he has been with the 'incredible' player, even though he is only five league games into his Leicester career.

The comments followed a similar theme, as a supporter highlighted just how quickly James had settled into life at Leicester.

There is some worry though that at some point, Leicester's hierarchy may dither when it comes to a potential permanent deal for James' services, and that they need to move sooner rather than later to get it done.

This fan echoed the feelings of many supporters as he told the club to get the permanent move in place swiftly, with Leicester needing to pay around €5m to sign the youngster as part of the agreement that brough him to the King Power Stadium from Rennes.

Jordan James can be a key figure for Leicester City in the long-term

With James having impressed at Birmingham after coming through their academy, many know what he is all about, and it was a transfer that was seen as a coup at the time.

And, James has already shown that he can have a big impact on the team, with his goal against Swansea demonstrating his quality as he fired in from range.

He brings physicality and power to the middle of the park, but James is also excellent at getting into the box, and he provides another goal threat to a talented Leicester side.

It may be early days, but for the reported €5m fee to make his move a permanent one, it seems like a no-brainer for Leicester, and you would expect them to try and get it finalised in January.

James will be crucial to Leicester's promotion push this season, but, at 21, he could turn out to be a shrewd long-term investment by the club, as he could remain a key player for the years to come.
