Three months after relegation to League One, Leicester City’s squad looks transformed, with five arrivals and a notable exodus. The standout business has been graded highly, reflecting a purposeful reset under Russell Martin.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, the Foxes have signed Conor Chaplin, Alex McCarthy, Christian McFarlane, Liam Cullen and Tommy Watson, while a host of senior players have departed. The work so far includes three deals graded nine out of 10 and two at eight.

Chaplin is viewed as a marquee addition at this level and earns 9/10, his past Golden Boot in the third tier underlining the appeal. He is seen at his best playing off the striker.

Cullen’s permanent move scores 8/10, his attitude and fit under Martin highlighted despite modest raw numbers. McCarthy is 7/10, a contender for number one with shot-stopping impressing, though competition with Jakub Stolarczyk leaves selection unclear.

McFarlane, on loan from Manchester City, is 6/10, an attack-minded left-back who boosts competition for Luke Thomas. Watson is 7/10, a sizeable threat in League One and strong rival to Stephy Mavididi after limited impact at Brighton and Millwall.

Among exits, Jeremy Monga is 9/10 after a £10 million fee plus £2.5 million add-ons and a sell-on. Abdul Fatawu is 8/10, with £20 million secured after inconsistency and a move to Ipswich.

Harry Winks is 9/10, his high wage off the books with a switch to Cagliari. Victor Kristiansen is 7/10 after joining Panathinaikos, having stated he did not want League One football.

Cartwright’s sale to Bradford City is 7/10 following an option-triggered extension, and Richards to Barnsley is 6/10 for needed senior minutes. Others to depart at contract expiry include Jannik Vestergaard, Ricardo Pereira, Jordan Ayew, Patson Daka, Wanya Marcal, Silko Thomas and Asmir Begovic.
