Leicester City goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury.
The 25-year-old sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in a collision in the first minute of the Foxes' victory against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday, and could have surgery as early as next week.
An academy graduate, he established himself as Leicester’s first-choice goalkeeper last season.
Leicester boss Russell Martin said: "I feel so disappointed for the big guy because he has been amazing," speaking to BBC Radio Leicester.
Stolarczyk is the second Leicester player sidelined by an ACL injury in the early weeks of the season, with Ben Nelson already having surgery.
"So off it, they will work hard, push each other and drive each other on and I hope we get one or both back before the end of the season. But, as it stands, we have to probably prepare for them not to be involved this season."
