Patson Daka rescued Zambia with a stoppage-time equaliser in their Africa Cup of Nations opener, then appeared to hurt himself during an attempted celebration.
The Leicester City striker equalised with a 92nd-minute diving header against Mali, securing a point. LeicesterMercury.co.uk notes that all three City players at the tournament are in the same group, with loanees Bilal El Khannouss and Woyo Coulibaly also involved.
With Zambia 1-0 down, he darted between the centre-backs to meet a cross and level.
To mark his first international goal in 20 months, he attempted his usual cartwheel and back flip, but misjudged it. His arm seemed to give way and he hit the turf head first, apparently bending his neck awkwardly.
He was not substituted, so there is hope he is fine to face Comoros on Boxing Day. Winning either of their final two group games should be enough to reach the last 16, with the top two from each of the six pools and the best four third-placed sides progressing.
