The boss will address the media on Friday from 14:30 (UK) and you can follow the action live on mancity.com, with a full written recap available shortly after its conclusion.

Opposition Manager: Rick Passmoor

The Foxes’ former interim manager took charge in early September after the East Midlands side sacked Amandine Miquel shortly before the start of the season.

Before joining Leicester, Passmoor served as assistant manager at West Ham under the London side’s boss Rehanne Skinner.

He has also seen spells at Notts County and Leeds United.

It’s been a tricky start to the WSL for his side, but with an aim to improve Leicester’s attack our defence will have to be sharp and quick on our feet.

With the Citizens on an unbeaten run across our last eight WSL games and the Foxes winless in seven, it will be another tough battle on Sunday.

Ones to watch

There is no doubt that Shannon O’Brien is a player who is guaranteed to make an impact with her goal in added time against West Ham proving how she is a big game player and will look to cause our defence some problems.

Sam Tierney is another key player in Leicester’s set-up with a host of experience with the Foxes. The number three helped confirm Leicester’s promotion to the Women’s Super League ahead of the 2021/22 season, with her goal against London City Lionesses securing their path to the top-flight.

The centre-back has also transitioned into central midfield at times showing her versatility and has starred in every game for the Midlands outfit this season.

Belgium international Janice Cayman also brings a wealth of experience. Despite not being involved as much so far due to injury, the Leicester skipper will be a key leader on the pitch and after assisting their winning goal against Liverpool is another threat going forward.

Previous meeting

The two sides last met in the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League season on Sunday 27 April, with Jess Park’s 70th minute goal being the only difference between us.

Last time out

Before the international break, we secured our place in the Subway League Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Grace Clinton gave us the lead with Lauren Hemp then doubling our advantage before the break as we came out on top as Group A winners.

In the Women’s Super League we saw a 3-0 derby day victory at the Etihad Stadium, with first-half goals from Rebecca Knaak, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Lauren Hemp seeing us well ahead at the break.

The win moved us seven points clear of our local rivals, and maintained our position atop the WSL table.
