Leicester sign Emil Riis from Bristol City on four-year deal | OneFootball

According to BBC UK, Leicester City have signed Danish forward Emil Riis from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal.

Riis played his final game for Bristol City in a 2-0 home defeat by Millwall on 15 August.

He was the Robins’ top scorer last season with 12 in all competitions, and he also provided three assists.

He spent four and a half years with Preston North End, scoring 41 goals in 172 league appearances.

Speaking to the club website, Riis described Leicester as a massive club with an exciting project and said he hopes to bring experience and help the younger players.

Bristol City sporting director James Ellis said Riis deserved the chance to play regularly at a club looking to get back into the Championship, adding that new attacking arrivals made this move right for the player and the club.

Leicester have not won any of their first three League One matches after last season’s relegation and host Plymouth on Tuesday evening.
