RC Strasbourg Alsace look set to lose one of their promising talents to RB Leipzig after the Bundesliga side offered Tidiane Diallo (17) a four-year contract offer.
Leipzig have become renowned for their ability to offer young talent a pathway to the elite ever since they crashed into the top flight of German football in 2016. They have been no stranger to dipping into the French market, as they picked up Loïs Openda (24) from RC Lens and Castello Lukeba (21) from Olympique Lyonnais last summer.
However, according to L’Équipe, they’ve now set their sights on Strasbourg and Diallo. The young winger who reached the U17 World Cup final with France is coming to the end of an aspiring contract, and Le Racing are keen to fend off rival interest.
Strasbourg have put in their own offer for a three-year contract, and are quietly confident that they’ll be able to secure the services of a player who has begun to train with the first team in recent months.
