Arthur Vermeeren's time at RB Leipzig looks set to come to an end this summer, according to a report from Fussballdaten.de.

After failing to meet expectations at Atlético Madrid, RB Leipzig and during his loan spell at Olympique Marseille, a departure seems likely.

A move this summer could be an opportunity for the Belgian talent to prove himself once again at the highest level in Europe.

RB Leipzig, where he is contracted until 2029, have a planning and financial strategy which suggests keeping Vermeeren is not a priority.

While the Leipzig coaching staff rates his potential, they believe the young midfielder has not yet fully matured in his decision-making.

Therefore, the German club would be willing to let the player go if the overall financial package is suitable, aiming for between €30-35million.

Accordingly, Süper Lig side Beşiktaş have placed the 21-year-old at the top of their wish list to address their lack of creativity in midfield.

But since the €30-35 million fee demanded by Leipzig is beyond their current budget, Beşiktaş are pursuing a loan with an option to buy.
