Corinthians goalkeeper Lelê, 31, has reflected on a 15-title stint since 2016 and is targeting a 2027 World Cup spot.

The club’s most-used goalkeeper, she has 183 appearances and Brazil call-ups since under-17 level. Corinthians contest four competitions this year, the Brasileiro, Paulista, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores.

"My first two goals are to have a good 2026, win titles with Corinthians and keep being called up for Brazil, and in 2027, for sure, the World Cup," she said.

She was injured in June during a friendly against the United States at Neo Química Arena, later diagnosed in July as tendinopathy in the back of her right thigh. She aims to return for the next call-up and fight for a place at the World Cup in Brazil in 2027.

"I believe it will be a unique moment for women’s football in our country. For Brazil it will bring the chance to chase a first World Cup. With our fans and a more developed women’s game, I think it will be magical and I hope to be part of it," she added.

She is not expected to be available to Emily Lima for the resumption of the women’s calendar. Corinthians face Ferroviária on Friday at 19:00 at Fazendinha in the fourth round of the Paulistão Feminino.
