The club said in a statement that goalkeeper Lelê has posterior right thigh tendinopathy and is missing early interseason work, extending a run of fitness issues since her 2022 return.
She first arrived in 2016 during the Osasco Audax tie-up, winning honours in the Copa do Brasil, Libertadores, Brasileirão and Paulista, before joining Benfica in 2020/21.
On returning in 2022 she missed the Copa Paulista final against Red Bull Bragantino with finger trauma and, after a left knee medial collateral sprain, the Copa América, yet still played 25 times, won the Copa Paulista and the Brasileirão, and took ESPN’s Bola de Prata.
She stayed injury free in 2023, playing 29 of 45 as Corinthians won the Supercopa Feminina, Paulistão, Brasileirão and Libertadores. February 2024 brought a left ACL rupture in training, limiting her to seven games and ruling her out of Brazil’s silver medal Olympic run.
Her 2025 return was gradual, with three matches in March, a pause for pain and a definitive resumption in August, finishing on 18 games while sharing duties with Nicole Ramos. This year she started under Lucas Piccinato, then a February concussion meant following IFAB protocol and missing early Brasileirão rounds.
Emily Lima restored her in April, but she was benched for two games before the FIFA break. With Brazil she started the 2-1 win over the United States at Neo Química Arena, then departed on 37 minutes of the second half with right thigh pain and missed the rematch. No return date has been set. Her deal ends this season. Across two spells she has 183 games, 136 wins, 29 draws, 18 defeats, one assist and 15 titles.
